Spread message of Sanatan Prabhat through discourses!

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Shakatapuram Sri Vaidya Peethadhishwar Sri Jagatguru Badrishankaracharya Sri Vidyabhinava Sri Sri Krushnanandateertha Mahaswamigal stated, “I regularly read ‘Weekly Sanatan Prabhat’ (Kannada). There is lot of information about Dharma in this periodical. Sanatan Sanstha is our organization. I shall spread thoughts and deliberations published in ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ through my discourses. Dr. Durgesh Samant [all-India spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS)], Shri. Shivanand Prabhu, HJS spokesperson for Southern India, Shri. Ramesh Shinde, spokesperson for Maharashtra and Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, Mumbai district coordinator of HJS called on Swamiji at ‘Shankaralayam’ ashram in Chembur, Mumbai and sought his blessings. Swamiji was talking to HJS members for 20 minutes and was explained activities of HJS.

Later, he blessed Sanatan Sanstha and HJS and wished them success in their endeavour. Shri. Shivanand Prabhu of HJS apprised him of denigration of deities taking place through different mediums. Swamiji said that he was very sad to learn, through Sanatan Prabhat, about nude pictures of Hindu deities drawn by M F Hussain. He also said that we must oppose such things and it is wrong on the part of Kerala Government to confer on Hussain an award in the name of a great personality like Raja Ravi Varma. He said that there should be separate committees for Hindus. Regarding the proposed Act on taking over temples by Maharashtra Government, Maharaj said that Hindus should come together and fight against it. We are sitting quietly over such issues and that is the reason, such things are happening. I shall explain on this topic to Hindus. We only have to protect our temples. There is Wakf Board to take care of religious places of Muslims. Similarly, there should be a separate Committee for Hindus. There should be no government interference in managing temples. Condition of temples is, however, bad due to lack of funds. He said further that he would appeal to people to hold photo-exhibitions organized by HJS in association with FACT on terrorism and atrocities on Hindus in Kashmir and Bangla Desh. When Swamiji was informed about ban on Hindus in performing puja at Datta-pitha in Chikkmagalur under the control of Muslims, he said that politicians are responsible for such situation. The Government and police are harassing Hindus.
