• What can be achieved by stopping developmental work?
• Instead, unite to take the Government to task for not providing funds !
Nasik (Maharashtra) : Dy. Mayor Gurmeet Bagga has warned that the developmental work undertaken for ‘Simhastha Kumbh-Mela’ would be stopped if the State and Central Government did not provide funds. He was speaking after ‘Lakshmi-pujan’ ceremony held at the Municipal Corporation.
1. Nasik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has no funds; moreover, out of Rs. 1070 crores earmarked for ‘Simhastha Kumbh-Mela’, only Rs. 220 crores have been allocated to NMC.
2. Now, BJP has won power in the State after the Centre, and the administration from MNS in power (on Congress-NCP support) is worried about funds for ‘Simhastha Kumbh-Mela’. They are, therefore, claiming that the financial position of NMC is bad due to works related to ‘Kumbh-Mela’ undertaken by them.
