Nationwide celebrations promote Hindu unity, self-reliance, and efforts towards the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra, while featuring self-defence demonstrations
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) organised the Guru Purnima Mahotsav (festival) with great enthusiasm and devotion at 64 locations across the country. On this occasion, considering the possibility of a future global war and potential emergency situations, the Samiti urged Hindus to reduce their reliance on technology and equipment, and to acquire training in first aid, firefighting, and self-defence.

During the celebrations, speakers delivered inspiring thoughts on the topic “The Efforts and Direction of Spiritual Practice for the Establishment of a Hindu Rashtra.”
As part of the festival, several activities were conducted:
- Vyas Pujan, Guru Pujan (honouring Paratpar Guru Bhaktaraj Maharaj), and chanting for the establishment of Ram Rajya.
- Speeches by patriotic and devout leaders, along with felicitations for defenders of the faith and devoted activists.
- Displays of basic self-defence techniques.
- A short film on the work of Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Athavale.
During the event, representatives from the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti highlighted several pressing social issues. They stated that modern threats to faith are no longer confined to national borders, but have increasingly reached local society and individual families. They asserted that Hindus are being systematically targeted through mediums such as ‘love jihad’, ‘land jihad’, encroachment by the Waqf Board, and ‘corporate jihad’.
The speakers urged attendees to develop ‘Swabodh’ (awareness of one’s faith, strength, and duty) alongside ‘Shatrubodh’ (identifying the strategies of opposing forces) to effectively counter these challenges. Through the festival, the Samiti appealed to Hindus to play an active role in protecting their culture and faith rather than remaining passive spectators.
