Karnataka govt once again denies Puja at Dattapeetha!

By staff reporter

Chikmaglore (Karnataka): Members of HJS and around 70 Dharmabhimani (Proud Hindus) visited Dattapeetha for Gurupournima Puja in Chandragiri at Chikmaglore. Government and Endowment Board rejected the permission to do the puja and only darshan was allowed. Shri. Shivananda Prabhu, Spokesperson of HJS for South India objected to this and brought to the notice of Asst. Commissioner, Tehsildar and Endowment Officer of the fact that the recent memo given by the High Court (22-7-2007) to the Commissioner of Endowment Board has  told that Hindus can perform puja. Inspite of this the police and the administration did not allow them to do the puja. They have lodged their protest with the administration.
