Latur (Maharashtra): At Mauje Javalaga, about 1000 idols of Sree Ganesha were damaged two days back. It is claimed that monkeys are responsible for the damage and not any miscreant. Police have obtained a statement, in writing, from the complainant to this effect. In view of the same, the investigations will be stopped in this case. Shiv Sena, BJP and other Hindu Organizations had demanded investigations and immediate arrest of the culprits. The police have, however, obtained a written statement from the complainant and have thus set the miscreants free from arrest. Police have closed the case and stopped further investigations. Earlier, in similar incident of idol-damaging, police had assigned the offender as mentally disturbed.

Latur (Maharashtra): It was observed that at Mauje Javalaga, 1000 Sree Ganesha idols sculpted by Shri. Madhav Lakshaman Kumbhar were damaged. A police complaint has been lodged in this connection by Shri. Sangameshwar Madhav Kumbhar under clause 427 of IPC.

It is the family business of Shri. Kumbhar to sculpt Sree Ganesha idols. He has taken a house on rent for the purpose. For the forthcoming Ganesh festival, he had sculpted more than 1000 idols with only painting work left to be done. In the middle of the night, some miscreants separated the idols’ head from the body resulting in loss of Rs. 50,000=00 to the sculptor. Shiv Sena and BJP members visited the place of incident along with other Hindu organizations. Devout Hindus are demanding that the offenders should be immediately arrested.

Shri. Subhash Kate, the district-chief of Shiv Sena said that the attack is premeditated to create tension among factions of society. If the miscreants are not immediately found and punished, agitations would be staged. Shri. Dhondu Patil, Chief- Public Relations, Shiv Sena also made a demand with the Inspector General of Police, Nanded to take immediate action.

((Hindus must brace themselves to fight back assaults on their Dharma. Had such incident occurred involving person from other religions, police would have acted promptly. The secular Government would pay attention to your grievances only when you unite. Hindus must participate in agitation of Shiv Sena to protect Dharma.
