Siddhivinayak and Sai Baba temples under terrorist threat!

Mumbai (Maharashtra): In the background of terrorists’ activities, additional police force has been deployed in the surrounding areas of Siddhivinayak temple at Prabhadevi, Mumbai and Sai Baba temple at Shirdi. Both the temples look like military camps.

Two police inspectors, 1 assistant police inspector, 5 deputy police inspectors and 3 assistant police officers with a troop of  Reserved Police Force, 1 QRT mobile, tango 13 mobiles, Assault 1 and 7, 12 commandoes, BDDS staff besides, patrolling vehicles have been engaged in two shifts. There is a daily check by BDDS for anti-terrorists systems. Similar protection has been provided for Shirdi Sai Baba temple in 2 shifts. There is a security checking of devotees by the staff of temple trusts. Wireless messaging system has been fixed in the temple. There are also dogs and metal detectors checking, in and around, the temples. All sides of temples have been sealed with 4 walls and iron grills. The above information was given in the Legislative Assembly session by Shri. R R Patil, the Home Minister. An order was issued earlier prohibiting devotees to carry big garlands and coconuts in the temple by temple administration of Sree Siddhivinayak and till the scanning machine was provided, all vendors selling coconuts were allowed to store coconuts inside the temple only after it was closed and security check by the police, informed Shri. Patil.

(Instead of total elimination of terrorism, such superfluous arrangements are made by the police and the Government. Now there is no alternative to revolution! – Editor)
