HJS demands withdrawal of ‘Temple take-over’ Act

Pune: A delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) called on the Chief Minister Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh and the Dy. CM, Shri. R R Patil when they were in Pune and placed their demand to withdraw the proposed Act on taking over management of all temples, mutts and religious institutions of Hindus. The duo was in Pune in connection with different programs.

HJS submitted a representation demanding cancellation of anti-Superstitions Act and to keep a tab on denigration and mockery made of Hindu deities and Holy Scriptures of Hindus in Marathi plays. The Chief Minister assured to look into the matter. The delegation comprised of Shri. Raj Yadav of Pratapgad Utsav Samiti, Shri. Hemant Borkar and Shri. Prashant Jadhav of BJP – Youth wing, Shri. Sunil Jadhav of Samasta Hindu Aghadi and Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, Shri.  Dheeraj Bengarut and Shri. Sandip Khot of HJS.
