Notice issued to demolish Sai Baba temple in Aurangabad

Sambhaji Nagar: A notice has been issued by the Municipal Corporation to demolish Sai Baba Mandir. The temple was built by Shri R B Jain and other devotes in the year 1994. Shri. Vijay Somthankar has filed a case against the temple giving the reason that the smoke of incense sticks causes pollution in the area. The High Court had passed a verdict that the construction of the temple was unauthorized. It was also said in the order that the temple should be demolished by 17 th June or else action would be taken against Municipal Corporation. Adv. Mantri, a devout Hindu has gone to Court against this order with a review application. The High Court has admitted his application and issued a stay-order till 25th June against the earlier order.

Adv. Mantri expressed his concern and disclosed his plans to fight the case taking into account all possible legal angles. On learning about the news, members of many Hindu organizations collected in the temple and performed ‘Maha-aarati’. A meeting was held after the ‘Maha-aarati’ under the presidency of Shri. Chandrakant Khaire, MP. Members of various parties like Shiv Sena, BJP, VHP, Bajarang Dal, Akhil Bharateeya Sena, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti etc. were present on the occasion.
