It is not proper to take over all temples – Sharad Pawar

Satara: The Government took over management of temples at Pandharpur, Shirdi and Siddhivinayak to discipline their managements and give justice to devotees.  But it will not be proper to take over all temples. Families, who have looked after management of temples for generations together, will lose their source of livelihood. It is necessary to review the proposed Act. The above statement was made by Shri. Sharad Pawar, Central Agriculture Minister while addressing a meeting of Gurav community. He attended the conference of Maharashtra State Gurav community. The Gurav community had earlier demanded abolition of the Temple take over Act.

Shri. Pawar assured that shortly, he would hold a meeting with the Chief and Dy. Chief Ministers of the State and Shri. Babanrao Pachoute, the representative of the Committee to discuss the issue.

(Congratulations to all Guravs for opposing the proposed Act!-Editor)
