HJS representation to DC: Cancel R.R. Varma award to MFH

Beed: Kerala Government has recently announced Raja Ravi Varma Award for anti-Hindu painter M. F. Hussain. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has demanded in its representation given to Shri. V. S. Achyutnandan, the Chief Minister of Kerala that the award given to Hussain should be cancelled.

Paintings of deities drawn by Raja Ravi Varma invoke ‘bhava’ in many people. Whereas Hussain has drawn nude paintings of deities and trampled religious feelings of Hindus under the guise of ‘Art’. Kerala Government is insulting feelings of not only all Hindu but also of Raja Ravi Varma by felicitating such anti-Hindu painter.

Shri. Mahant Amrutdas of Warkari Dharma Parishad was present when the representation was submitted to the district collector of Beed. Shri Surkar, Waghirkar, Amit Selukar and Vishnu Pawar of HJS were also present on the occasion.
