Puttur, Karnataka – The Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Sabha was successfully conducted by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on 15 February at Ramagiri Shri Ram Bhajana Mandir in Kumbra, despite strong opposition from the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of the banned organisation Popular Front of India (PFI).
The SDPI’s Kumbra Block Committee alleged that the Sabha was “against the Constitution” and could spread hatred in society. A delegation led by committee president Riyaz Balakka met officials at the Sampa Rural Police Station and submitted a complaint seeking withdrawal of the permission granted for the programme, along with legal action against the organisers. The complaint stated that India is a secular nation and that promoting the idea of a religion-based nation amounts to an anti-national act.
In Kumbra, Puttur, despite opposition from SDPI, the Hindu Rashtra Jagruti Sabha organized by @HinduJagrutiOrg was held successfully.
Hundreds gathered with unity and took a strong pledge for Dharma Raksha.

Sabha held successfully despite objections
Despite the protest, the Sabha was held as scheduled. Speaking at the event, Shri. Vijaykumar, Coordinator of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, said that a Hindu Rashtra represents a nation of virtuous people. He remarked that attempts to obstruct such Dharma awareness programmes have become routine for certain groups and asserted that their work of protecting Dharma continues with divine blessings.
He further stated that over the past 20 years, HJS has conducted more than 2,000 Sabhas across the country, reaching over two million people. He emphasised that all activities are carried out within the framework of the law and therefore cannot be curtailed.
Opposition to upcoming meeting in Bantwal
Another Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Sabha has been scheduled for 22 February at Shri Garuda Mahakali Temple Hall in the Arala area of Bantwal. The SDPI has expressed opposition to this programme as well.
