Pune (Maharashtra) : There was outbreak of people’s sentiments after pictures of national leaders like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj etc. were published in despicable manner on Facebook. Police have not taken into custody the concerned offenders even after 5 days since the incident.

On the other hand, police have undertaken series of arrests to suppress Hindus. Police could have withdrawn the controversial page of ‘Facebook’ within half an hour; but the incident occurred in the afternoon and the pictures were there till night; therefore, police are responsible for the outbreak of people. Police should give explanation that why they couldn’t find the culprits in this case. Arrests of innocent Hindus by police to cover up their own failure, is condemnable and is an insult of democracy. The above views were expressed by Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruiti Samiti (HJS) during press conference held at ‘Patrakar Bhavan’ on 5th June.

‘Hindu-bhushan’ H.B.P. Shyam Maharaj Rathod, Sanatan Sanstha’s Shri. Chandrashekhar Tandale, ‘Hindu Swabhiman Pratishthan’s Secretary and ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad’s Vice President, advocate Shri. Devadas Shinde and Shri. Parag Gokhale of HJS were present on the occasion.

Queries raised by Shri. Ramesh Shinde exposing Hindu-hatred of police, administration and Government !

1. Ban has been imposed on ‘Facebook’ page of HJS for publishing news regarding riots in Assam. In this country, you can see pages of Raza Academy, Taliban and vulgar websites; but you cannot open HJS’ Facebook page. What kind of freedom of expression is this ?

2. During riots instigated by mob of 50,000 fanatics at Azad Maidan, police arrested only 57 Muslims; whereas for despicable denigration of seats of worship through ‘Facebook’, nearly 400 Hindus have been arrested. Isn’t it biased attitude of police ?

H.B.P. Shyam Maharaj Rathod said, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj, ‘Hindu-rhuday Samrat’ Balasaheb Thackeray were great national leaders. Insult of such great personalities is condemnable; but tolerating such insult is also treason. I condemn the Government and police who have been misusing their power for suppressing agitations staged by Hindus at various places.” Advocate Shinde demanded that arrests of innocent Hindus in the name of curfew should be stopped. Shri. Tandale also expressed his views.

One of the officers of Crime Investigation Branch said to Shri. Tandale after the press conference, “You should have presented subject of expansive ‘Hindutva’; but you explained very briefly. ( Activists of pro-Hindu organizations should note that police talk in such manner so as to obtain more information and should be cautious of such police. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat ) You should have explained more about attacks on Hindu Dharma.” He asked Shri. Tandale about the post held by him in the organization.
