Death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi was on 21st May and on this occasion, a list of his offences is given below :
Considering all incidents related to Bofors scam involving billions of rupees concerning security of this country, persons linked in it and their activities, the needle of suspicion revolves around the name of Rajiv Gandhi in the deal of purchase of Bofors guns. It was evident from the defensive stand taken by Rajiv Gandhi and his confusion that he was trying to hide something. Few proofs of Rajiv Gandhi’s involvement are given below….
1. Some suspicious incidents in dealing of purchase of Bofors guns
A. In 1985, Indian Government took a decision to purchase 155 mm Howitzer guns without engaging any agent but it was observed from available papers that Win Chaddha and AE Services were appointed as agents.
B. Lt. General Mayadas, heading the Committee, had selected a French Company ‘SOFMA’ over Bofors, a Swedish Company. Later, in February 1986, Head Office of Army suddenly selected Bofors and taking a decision to that effect, contract was also signed on 24.3.1986 with Bofors. It is still a mystery as to why there was change in decision.
C. During this period, Vishwanath Pratap Singh was removed from the post of Defence Minister and Rajiv Gandhi himself, started looking after this portfolio.
D. On 16.4.1987, the Swedish Radio first announced scam in the dealings with Bofors. Indian Government was after the Swedish Government for withdrawal of said news by Swedish Radio which was, however, firm on its decision of not withdrawing its statement before proper inquiry.
E. Indian Government handed over the job of inquiry to ‘National Audit Bureau’. The Bureau conducted inquiry and it was clearly stated in its report that Rs. 35- 40 crores were given as ‘binding up’ charges in this dealing.
F. On 6.8.1987, Indian Parliament appointed a committee under B. Shankaranand as its Chairman for conducting inquiry into the dealings. As per the report of this Committee, there was no intermediary in this dealing nor was any commission paid to anyone except payment of ‘binding up charges’.
2. Defensive response by Rajiv Gandhi and its futility !
A. Rajiv Gandhi first said, “News given by Swedish Radio is false.” In reality, radio news only got support and confirmation instead of the statement made by Rajiv Gandhi.
B. Thereafter Rajiv said, “There is no mediator in this dealing”; but it was proved that there was an agent.
C. It was proved that in the name of ‘binding up’ charges, a huge amount was given; but Rajiv Gandhi kept on saying that no commission was given to anyone.
3. Few suspicious things underlining association of Rajiv in Bofors scam !
A. Money was kept in Swedish bank but objection was raised to freeze that account.
B. Court case was fought so as to prevent Indian Government from getting papers related to this dealing.
C. A letter was given by Madhav Singh Solanki, former Minister for External Affairs to Swedish Government but he kept quiet about who asked him to give such letter and purpose behind the same. In fact, Solanki took a stand that he had no knowledge about what was written in that letter. (Can Indian External Affairs Minister be so naïve or innocent ?)
4. Persons associated with Bofors had connections with family of Rajiv Gandhi !
A. One of the agents among them was an Italian businessman named Quattrochi. He had connections with Gandhi family when Rajiv was the Prime Minister and even after Rajiv’s death. He had free entry in ‘Janpath’. If Quattrochi was really innocent, why was he hiding in Malaysia ?
Why did the other agent named Win Chaddha in this dealing, hide in Dubai ?
Offences committed by Congress during the regime of Rajiv Gandhi as Prime Minister !
1. Throttling of ‘Indian Express’ by Rajiv Gandhi to cover up cases of corruption with his involvement and it was an example of ‘Talibani’ regime of Congress ! : Indian Express, newspaper published news about Bofors dealing and other cases of corruption during the regime of Rajiv Gandhi as PM; therefore, the Central Government took possession of building where office of Indian Express was located and tried to pressurize for appointing a representative of Central Government on the Board of Directors of ‘Indian Express’. (Hindu-Ghosh, Year 2, Issue 7, 21.12.1987)
2. Anti-Hindu Rajiv Gandhi sends Indian army i.e. Hindus to stop oppressed Tamil Hindus from Sri Lanka and fight them with each other leading to killing of Hindus ! : During the regime of Rajiv Gandhi, 262 soldiers from ‘Indian Peace Keeping Force’ sent to Sri Lanka for disarming Tamil Guerillas were killed in the battle.
