Rashtreeya Hindu Andolan demonstrating at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi : Name of Hindu-hater Aurangzeb who threw Hindus’ young children in the air and instructed his soldiers to catch them on their spears; who attacked Hindus’ seats of worship, has been given to towns and roads in this country; but Hindus have become indifferent towards everything; therefore, these things are overlooked. Invaders destroyed town after town; claiming that it was done for their prosperity. We have, however, such signs of slavery, even today. Hindus need to shake off their slavish mentality and unite for removing the names, given after foreign invaders, to roads and cities in this country. The above views were expressed by Shri. Suresh Munjal, the State Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Punjab and Haryana. He addressed the demonstrators gathered at Janatar-Mantar in Delhi for opposing change of name of ‘Shankaracharya Hill’ to ‘Takhta-e-Suleiman’ and for demanding changing names of foreign invaders given to many cities and roads. 35 devout Hindus participated in this demonstration. Pujya Gopaldas Swami , known for his mission of protection of cows, was also present on the occasion.

  1. Shri. Shrikrushna Arya of ‘Rashtreeya Arya Nirmatri Sabha’ said, “Today, name of Shankaracharya Hill has been changed; but we are keeping mum. If we continue to keep quiet; tomorrow, even our names will be forcefully changed; are we then going to keep silent ?”
  2. Shri. Vinay Panwalkar of HJS said that it was a well-planned conspiracy of fanatics to destroy seats of worship of Hindus so as to discourage Hindu refugees from going back to Kashmir.
  3. Sanatan Sanstha’s Sou. Sandip Kaur-Munjal said that names of invaders given to roads/ cities are as it is despite India getting independence. Violent mentality of fanatics is responsible for the same; so also Hindus’ indifference. Hindus need to give up apathy and try to do away with such names.
  4. Shri. Gajanan Keskar of HJS said that pro-Hindu activists should try to impress upon people, original names of cities, beginning with own self; e.g. when we talk about ‘Ahmedabad’, we should refer to it as ‘Karnavati’ only, so that the original name would be known to other people.

Other organizations participating in this demonstration were ‘Rashtreeya Arya Nirmatri Sabha’; ‘Kattar Hindu Party’; ‘Upasana Dharmotthan Kendra’; HJS, Sanatan Sanstha etc.

Highlights

  1. News about the demonstrations was compiled by reporters of ‘Hind ki Awaz’, ‘Punjab Kesari’, ‘PTI’, Rajadhani Nishant Times’ etc.
  2. When Shri. Suresh Munjal was explaining his topic, a Muslim person passing by the road, stopped his vehicle and was listening to what was said. (Most of the Hindus deliberately ignore if someone is talking against Hindu Dharma; but Muslims are so alert that even when they hear the word ‘Muslim’ from followers of other religions, they make sure that nothing is said against their religion. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
