New Delhi : I want to make it clear that we will not give even an inch of land to Bholenath in Kashi of Sanatan Dharma followers. However, it may happen that the Muslim community apologises (to Hindus) and removes the unauthorised control. H.H. (Adv.) Hari Shankar Jain tweeted through ‘X’. Corroborating his statement, his son Vishnu Shankar Jain, an advocate of the Hindu party in the Gyanvapi case, said, “It is not legally possible to settle the case out of Court in the Gyanvapi case.” Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain presented his position after writing a letter to the ‘Anjuman Intejamia Masjid Committee’ urging them to settle the case of Gyanavapi outside the Court.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain further said that we do not want to compromise in this matter. If this were to be done, both parties would have to give up some of their rights. In this case, we do not want to give them (the Muslim party) even an inch of land ! The Muslim party should apologise to us for using the temple as a mosque. Therefore, there is no question of compromise here.

At present, a scientific survey of the premises of Gyanvapi including Wajukhana (a place for washing hands and feet before offering namaz) is being conducted. The Archeology Survey of India has to place the complete study in this context before the Varanasi District Court on 2nd September. After that, further hearing of this case will begin.
