All temple trustees should unite to save temples!

Parbhani: At the local Sree Dnyaneshwar Maharaj temple, a meeting of trustees was held in connection with the annulment of the proposed Taking over Management of Temples Act recommended by the 15 th Law Commission. The meeting was attended by Prof. Shreedhar Vakte, the Chairman of Gajanan Maharaj Temple.

He explained about the proposed Act and called upon all trustees to come together to get the proposed Act withdrawn. He announced setting up of Dharma-Sansad for protection of temples and took a review of action plan of the 450,000 temples in the State. All the trustees present on the occasion announced initial formation of ‘Parbhani district Dharma Sansad’.

Shri. Govind Bhardwaj, district-sevak of Sanatan Sanstha explained about the after effects of taking over management of temples by the State Government. The meeting was attended by many trustees of famous temples, members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha.
