Under our drive for protection of cows, whenever we used to hear about cow-slaughter taking place at a certain place, we used to immediately raid that place and hand over butchers to police; but police used to file cases against ‘Gou-rakshaks’ only. It was expected that the situation prevailing during Congress regime would change after BJP took over; however, when we met BJP’s Chief Minister in this connection, he said that ‘I have to think about followers of all religions. You too seek their participation in your drive.’ But how is it possible? Why would Muslims join ‘Gou-rakshan’ movement? To stop cow-slaughter, therefore, all those who love cows and are concerned about their safety, should unite and set up ‘Gou-shala’ in every district to prevent such things from happening.
