HJS Protest: Kopran stops denigration of Ramayana

Mumbai: Kopran Company was doing Denigration of Ramayana through a commercial on TV channels for ‘SMYLE’ brand of medicine. HJS brought this fact to the notice of the Company and HJS members met concerned officials. After the meeting the company officials were convinced of their mistake and tendering an apology, they withdrew the objectionable commercial.

The President – Consumer Healthcare of the company writes to HJS: ‘As confirmed by me to you personally, Kopran Limited will be screening this TV commercial.  We have no intension, as explained to you in our personal meeting on 6 th January 07 to offend religious sentiments of any Group.’
