HJS demands severe action against the desecration of idols

Dharashiv (Maharashtra): Recently idols of Goddess Sree Durga and Sree Lakshmi-Narayan from the Lakshmi-Narayan temple at Gadchiroli were found desecrated. The robes worn by the idol of Goddess Sree Durga were found burnt and eyes of the idol of Hanuman were found to have been removed. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded that taking into account feelings of Hindus and seriousness of the incident, State administration should immediately nab and take severe action against the offenders. A representation was given to this effect to the resident district collector of Dharashiv (Usmanabad). The district collector said that he had no idea of such incident taking place and HJS was doing a very good job. He assured that he would immediately fax the representation to the Chief Minister.
