Denigrating pictures of Lord Ganesh withdrawn from exhibition

Pune: An exhibition of pictures of Lord Ganesh was held at Bal Gandharva Theater. There were a few objectionable pictures of Lord Ganesh in the exhibition. Staunch Hindus had taken the organizers of the exhibition to task for displaying such pictures. An exhibition of pictures of Lord Ganesh drawn by Dr. Rajendra Kantak from Karad (Maharashtra) practicing Ayurveda was put up at Bal Gandharva Theater in Pune.

Lord Ganesh has been drawn as playing cricket, skating on snow, in another picture, Lord Ganesh has been drawn using the name of Shiv Sena Chief Shri. Balasaheb Thakre. When staunch Hindus noticed the denigration of Lord Ganesh, they asked for explanation from Dr. Kantak. Dr. Kantak told them that he was not aware of these things and henceforth would not denigrate deities in such manner. He also declared that he was withdrawing the objectionable pictures of Lord Ganesh from the exhibition.
