Take action against ‘Shri Vitthal-Rakmini Devasthan Samiti’ officers for disregarding RTI !

  • Issue of not giving information despite RTI Act was made applicable

  • Representation submitted to managers of ‘Shri Vithal-Rukmini Mandir Sanrakshan Kruti Samiti’

Pandharpur : Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir Devasthan is under control of the State Government under respective Act; therefore, it comes under purview of RTI Act  and the Devasthan Samiti should have uploaded information on its website under clause 4 which was necessary under the Act; however, officers of ‘Mandir Samiti’ falsely stated that the ‘Mandir Samiti’ was not under the purview of RTI Act; evading giving any information. Concerned officers misleading devotees should be stringently punished. The above demand was made through representation submitted by ‘Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir Sanrakshan Kruti Samiti (Kruti Samiti)’ to Shri. Balaji Pudalwad, the manager of ‘Mandir Samiti’. He was talking quite rudely during discussions held with the managers of ‘Mandir Samiti’.

Shri. Ganesh Lanke, secretary of ‘Kruti Samiti’, H.B.P. Veer Maharaj, spokesperson of ‘Warkari Paik Sangh’, Shri. Balkrushna Dingare, President- ‘Hindu Mahasabha’, its members viz. Shri. Sanjay Kavadse, Shri. Vilas Deshmukh, Shri. Kapil Biradekar; advocate Nilesh Sangolkar, Coordinator of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad (HVP)’, Shri. Mohan Lokhande, Shri. Hiralal Tiwari of Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Shashishekhar Patil of HJS were present on the occasion.

It has been further stated in the representation that

1. Many people obtained information besides ‘Kruti Samiti’ about ‘Mandir Samiti’ earlier; but such information is not being given nowadays.

2. Corrupt officers of ‘Mandir Samiti’ are responsible for not giving any information and it seemed that they didn’t meticulously follow the RTI Act either because they are either incompetent or they didn’t want to give information.

3. Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir Samiti should implement RTI Act for giving information without any complaints.
