Govt should pass an Act for protection of religious traditions : demand Hindus

Demand made in ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’ at Ratnagiri

Ratnagiri : Demonstrations were staged under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’ at Jaistambh in the city by all pro-Hindu organizations for various demands including (1) the Union Government should pass an Act for protection of religious traditions followed at Sabarimala Temple and (2) immediate withdrawal of cases filed against demonstrating devotees.

Shri. Mahesh Mayekar, Founder-President of ‘Hindavi Swarajya Pratishthan’; Shri. Sushil Kadam of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’; Shri. Avinash Patankar, Treasurer of ‘Shiva-smruti Mandal’; Shri. Bapusaheb Patil, a devout Hindu activist etc were present on the occasion. Sou. Madhavi Gudekar of ‘Ranaragini Division’ also expressed her views. The program was compeered by Shri. Mahesh Laud.

Representation was submitted to additional District Collector Babasaheb Beldar after the demonstrations by Shri. Suresh Shinde and Shri. Vinod Gadikar of HJS; Shri. Mahesh Mayekar, Founder-President of ‘Hindavi Swarajya Pratishthan’; Shri. Sushil Kadam of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’; Shri. Avinash Patankar, Treasurer of ‘Shiva-smruti Mandal’ and Shri. Rhushikesh Gurav.
