Hindu organizations hit the streets to expose the financial scams of MANS

Pune : Time has come for a thorough scrutiny of financial transactions and the so called ‘rationalism’ of MANS who have taken it upon themselves to promote ‘rational scientific temperament’ in the society at large. Many corrupt and atheist activities of MANS who otherwise hide behind words and phrases such as ‘rationalism’, ‘scientific temperament’, ‘dispelling blind faith’, ‘(rational) scrutiny of Dharmik concepts and traditions’ and mislead the public are coming to light each passing day. It has come to light through an RTI query that MANS has not declared several types of income to the tune of lacs of rupees earned through its mouth piece ‘Andhashraddha Nirmulan Vartapatra’ thereby defrauding the government and public at large. If one were to consider the above and various other previously unearthed scams of MANS, it seems, ‘Money-spinning Samiti’ would be a more appropriate name for them. Various Hindutvavadi/ spiritual/ social organizations, various sects, political parties have hit the streets to demand stringent legal action against MANS who is submerged neck-deep in corruption. Protest was staged in front of the office of the district magistrate against MANS. Demands were made for taking strict legal action against and appointing administrator on MANS who hides behind a pretence of simplicity to carry out its corrupt activities. Slogans such as “Anisites, please answer ‘Into whose pocket has the black money worth lacs of rupees generated through Andhashraddha Nirmulan Vartapatra gone?’ “ were raised. A memorandum was submitted to the DM.

‘Andhashraddha Nirmulan Vartapatra’ has earned a minimum of Rs. 20,56,500/- through advertisements in their Diwali-special edition (Nov-Dec 2012) going by the rate card published by them. Their subscription income (for FY 2012-13) is about Rs. 14,00,000/-. Income earned in the same year through advertisements in other editions and miscellaneous sales is also to the tune of several lacs of rupees. MANS has failed to declare all the above income in its financial returns and balance sheets. This has not happened only once in case of 2012-13 but repeatedly over several other years also. On several previous occasions MANS has failed to submit its returns on time. It has also not informed the concerned authorities about changes in their functioning (a mandatory legal requirement). They have not shown income earned through book-sales and income from their branches in the relevant yearly statements. They have sold immovable properties without taking due permission of the Hon. Charity Commissioner. Thus, they have caused loss to the exchequer by not paying due taxes.

MANS is also on radar of concerned government agencies for not declaring foreign contributions thereby not following the FCRA. The fact that after indulging in so many unlawful activities MANS puts up pretence of fighting to ‘save the constitution’ is nothing but fraud of the highest order. MANS has displayed their ir’rationalism’ by giving evasive answers regarding the numerous scams surrounding their name. The Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh organizer of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Shri Sunil Ghanvat has raised the question as to why has the Maharashtra Government not taken any action against MANS in spite of being in possession of all the above information.

Ganesh Pawar of Shivasamarth Kokan Trust; Shri. Manoharlal Unecha of Akhil Bharatiya Brahman Samaj; Ms. Kranti Petkar of Ranaragini Shakha; Prof. Vitthal Jadhav of Sanatan Sanstha; Shri.
