Nagpur : Maharashtra Public Trust Management Bill for Shani Shinganapur’s Shri Shanaishwar shrine viz. ‘Shri Shanaishwar Devasthan Vishwasta-vyavastha (Shinganapur) Bill 2018’ has been presented on 17th July by Law and Justice Minister Dr. Ranajit Patil. The Bill has been presented for taking over control of Shri Shanaishwar Temple and its related matters, for better governance by revising its Constitution. It has thus started the process of taking over this shrine. Many temples and shrines have been taken over by the Government and large scale malpractices have been observed in managing these temples; leading to strong discontent amongst devotees. Still Government’s move to take over the shrine resulted in many devotees expressing fury over the same. This Bill will be discussed in forthcoming winter session of the State Legislative Assembly with ruling party members and members of opposition parties before its finalization.
