Kolhapur : Contract given to a Chinese company for manufacturing carriages of ‘metro’ trains in Nagpur should be immediately cancelled in reply to China’s willfulness and boycott Chinese products; impose ban on film ‘Bodyscapes’ for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus; Union Government should take stringent action against attackers of Hindu leaders in Kerala and Tamil Nadu etc, were the demands made by ‘Hindutvavadi’ organizations during demonstrations staged under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’ on 13th August at 12 noon at Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk. More than 60 devout Hindus participated in demonstrations.

Views expressed by dignitaries

1. Shri. Raju Yadav – HJS has so far undertaken drives for prevention of sale of crackers with Deities’ pictures; prevention of sale of plastic national flags etc which have become successful; therefore, we always participate in HJS drives and will do so, even in future.

2. Shri. Ashok Ramchandani – Murders of ‘Hindutvavadi’ leaders taking place in Kerala and Tamil Nadu are most unfortunate. Union Government should take immediate note of the same; else all ordinary Hindu citizens will take to streets.

3. Shri. Sambhaji Bhokare – Ordinary citizens are boycotting Chinese products in this country but the Government is giving contract worth Rs. 825 crores to China which is most inappropriate. Considering people’s sentiments, the Government should cancel the contract immediately.

2. People passing by the venue of agitations, paid obeisance to RHA before moving ahead on their way.
