Will the Congressmen depict Sonia Gandhi as Mother Mary
and Rahul Gandhi as Messenger ?

Prayag (UP) :  Nowadays, favourable environment for Hindutva has been generated in Kumbh city; there are signs of this affecting the results of next parliamentary elections. Therefore, the President of the Congress party Mrs. Sonia Gandhi will also be visiting Kumbh Mela. Before such visit takes place, local leaders of Congress party have indulged in a despicable exercise to garner attention. Few local activists of Congress party erected a hoarding on Triveni Marg in which Sonia Gandhi is depicted as Rani Lakshmibai and Rahul Gandhi as Shiva. This has hurt the religious and nationalistic sentiments of Hindus.

One of the hoardings depicts Rahul Gandhi as Deity Shiva drinking the poison extracted from churning of the ocean. The hoarding displays a quote, “Power is like a poison, and whoever drinks it becomes Deity Shiva (Nilkanth). Get up early and become Deity Shankar.” On the other hoarding, Sonia Gandhi is depicted as Rani Lakshmibai. She is depicted as mounted on a horse holding a sword and Rahul Gandhi as a child on her back. The hoarding says, “She has decided to do away with her opponents ! The sword, which started shining in 1991 is very old. The queen of 10, Janpath fought hard like Rani Lakshmibai !” These hoardings are sponsored by Chandra Dubey and Hasib Ahemad. Both the hoardings have been erected without the permission of the administration of Kumbh Mela.

Shriman jee,

This is with reference to the news items appearing in news papers and news channels and many people from Kumbh Mela have reported same, that the hoardings wherein President of Indian National Congress (INC) is being portrayed as Rani Lakshmi Bai with Vice president of INC on her back, this is a serious disrespect to the freedom fighter Maharani Lakshmi Bai. We fail to understand what parallel has been drawn that inspired you and your party (INC) to display this picture that too at Maha Kumbh.

The Vice President of INC Rahul Gandhi is being portrayed with third eye like Lord Shiva and having neelkhanth as well. This is really unfortunate and unacceptable to Hindus of the country and is hurting the sentiments of Hindus across the country.

We know your Government is trying your best to make this religious congregation peaceful and a successful event. We see these kinds of hoardings as a clear attempts to disrupt the Kumbh mela.

We request your august office to immediately take action on this issue and direct authorities at Kumbh Mela to act on this matter and get these hoardings removed from wherever they have been erected in Mela Parisar.

We also request you to send strong warning to people who are being glorified by their party workers and also request you to incite an action on the people who in order to appease the bosses within congress are hurting the sentiments of Hindu.
