Bhiwandi (Maharashtra): Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha was held on the grounds near Gram-pamchayat’s office, Dhamangaon in Bhiwandi taluka. Dr. Tanaji Kene, a resident of Gorasai and other local residents were quite impressed with the ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ and took initiative to organize such ‘sabha’ in their village. A meeting to plan out the said ‘sabha’ was held in Maruti Mandir.

Mr. Abhijit Bhojane of HJS explained about various activities undertaken by HJS and the need for such ‘Dharma-sabhas’. About 40 residents of the village attended the meeting. Mr. Mukund Ghanekar and Miss Sushama Palave of HJS were also present.

Highlights

1. Four devout Hindus who had attended the ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ at Dhamangaon attended the meeting for participating in the planning of the ‘sabha’.

2. Dr. Tanaji Kene of Gorasai took initiative to hold the meeting

3. There was a ‘haldi-kumkum’ ceremony in the neighbourhood where the meeting was held and loudspeaker was used for the program but during this meeting, loudspeaker was switched off by the neighbours.
