Meetings held by HJS for protection of temples at Tuljapur and Pandharpur

Tuljapur : On 15th March, a meeting was held of ‘Shri Tuljabhavani Devasthan Sanrakshan Kruti Samiti (Action committee)’. Shri. Manoj Khadye, western Maharashtra State coordinator of HJS met Shri Mahant Mavajinath. It was decided to stage agitations in different forms, take action and submit representations to remove obstacles created by temple administrations in observing religious rituals in these temples; in preserving sanctity of the temples and in following customs and traditions. It was decided to hold meeting of action-committee in every 15 days. The above meeting was attended by Shri. Arjun Salunkhe, the founder-President of ‘Shivaba Raje Pratishthan’. He promised of cooperation in all agitations held by the action committee.

Meeting of action committee for protection of Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir was held at Pandharpur on 16th March. Shri. Manoj Khadye of HJS’ Coordinator for western Maharashtra, members of action committee viz. Shri. Ganesh Lanke, Shri. Vaibhav Badave, Shri. Shriram Badave, Shri. Virendra Utpat, Maheshacharya Utpat, Rajan Bunage, advocate Nilesh Sangolkar etc were present.

It was decided to hold demonstrations on 24th March between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. near Shivaji statue, to protest against death of cows from ‘Goushala’ managed by the temple committee. People working in temple are violating sanctity of the temple. It was decided to stage agitation even for that issue and submit representation, complaint etc. It was decided to hold meeting of action committee every fortnight.
