Maharashtra : HJS petitions police and administration to stop malpractices during Holi

Solapur : Holi and Rangpanchami festival has spiritual background; but these festivals are celebrated without trying to learn the science behind the same; therefore, it is celebrated in perverted manner. The Government should take stringent steps and put a curb on misconduct observed on this occasion. A representation was submitted to District Collector Ajit Relekar and Police Inspector (Gramin) Ramakrushna Bhosale by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to the above effect.

Sangli : Representations were submitted to police and local administrations in Sangli district, with the initiative of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), demanding to stop wrong things happening in the background of Holi- Rangpanchami festival. The representations were also submitted to elected representatives from different parties, shopkeepers, doctors, coaching classes etc. Every one of them gave positive response, promising to try for prevention of wrong things from happening. Planning has been done at various places in the district for celebration of Holi in ideal manner.

1. Dy. District Collector Triguna Kulkarni was given such representation at Sangli by Shri. Sachin Pawar, regional President of ‘Golla’ community; Shri Shivapratishthan’s Haridas Kalidas; Shri. Kiran Butale, a devout Hindu etc. Shri. Kulkarni said that police would be informed in the matter.

2. Representation was submitted to zonal office at Miraj by Shri. Punditrao Karade of Shiv Sena’s Traders’-Front along with volunteers of HJS and seekers of Sanatan Sanstha.

3. Representation was submitted to Tehasildar Madhusudan Barge at Palus by Shri. Ravindra Khot of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan’ and seekers of Sanatan and HJS.

4. Nayab Tehasildar Vipin Lokare of Ishwarpur was given representation by Shri. Mandar Chavan of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan’, among others.

5. Nayab Tehasildar Sunil Dhale was given representation at Tasgaon. Members of HJS and Sanatan seekers were present on the occasion. Similar representation was submitted also at Tasgaon police station.

6. Representation was submitted at police station in Jaisingpur (Dist. Kolhapur).

Karad (Dist. Satara) : Loss caused due to unruly behavior during Parliamentary sessions and preventing work should be recovered from salaries paid to MPs; money should be deducted from salaries of elected representatives who waste time and money of people for preventing work in Parliament and their allowances should also be cancelled for such days, were some of the demands made through a representation submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to Tehasildar Rajendra Shelake on 7th March.

Ganesh Kapase, President of BJP’s Karad Yuva Morcha; its city Vice President Santosh Motekar, Shri Shivapratishthan’s Shubham Patil, Swapnil Patil, Chaitanya Gurav; Shiv Sena’s Anil Kadane; Shri. Madan Sawant, Shri. Manohar Jadhav of HJS and Shri. Chintamani Parakhe and Lakshman Pawar of Sanatan Sanstha were present on the occasion.

Other demands made by ‘Hindutvavadi’ organisations 

1. A Bill proposed to be passed by Telangana Government providing 12% reservation to Muslims is against the Constitution and will be contempt of Supreme Court; therefore, it should be withdrawn.

2. Action should be taken against West Bengal Board for Higher Secondary Education for changing names of Deities in lessons from textbooks, out of its Hindu-hatred and the changed words should be replaced with the original words.

3. Grants given for Haj pilgrimage should be cancelled as per the Supreme Court’s orders.
