Denigration of Deity Shiva at the unveiling ceremony of Adiyogi Statue

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 112-foot Deity Shiva statue in Coimbatore on the occasion of Mahashivratri. The statue is dedicated to Adiyogi, which is a form of Deity Shiva. It was funded by Isha foundation, which was founded by the Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.

In the ceremony Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev was wearing a shawl with Deity Shiva’s picture printed on it. He felicitated Honourable PM Narendra Modi with a similar shawl.

Since the shawl reached below the knees of both the wearers, this has resulted into denigration of Deity Shiva. Hence it has hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
