The idol of ‘Chhinnamastika Devi’ at the famous ‘Shaktipeeth’ damaged in Jharkhand

The temple of ‘Chhinnamastika Devi’ is in forest area. Christian tribals stay close to this temple. Hindus have a doubt that those Christian tribals could have damaged the idol.

Ramgad(Jharkhand): One of the total 51 ‘Shaktipeetha’ is ‘Chhinnamastika Devi’, the idol without the head, is in Rajrappa area in Jharkhand. Few unknown miscreants damaged this idol along with other idols of Deities like ‘Dakini’, ‘Varnini’, ‘Rati’ and ‘Kam’ that were on the 4 sides of the idol.

Some parts of the idols have also been stolen including many silver ornaments worth thousands of rupees adorning the idol. Shri. Shubhashish Panda, the Secretary of judicial committee of the temple lodged a complaint with the Rajrappa police station. On hearing about the incident, many Hindus had gathered there and they blocked the highway.

C. P. Singh, the President of the Legislative Assembly, Arjun Munda, the former chief minister, police and administrative officers assured the agitating Hindus to nab the culprit as early as possible after which the road block was cleared. (Look at the Muslims who started rioting all over the country based on only a rumour that someone tore off few pages from ‘Quran’ and the so-called strong pro-Hindu organizations which do nothing despite an attack on a ‘Shaktipeeth’ temple. Hindu Dharma is in danger only because of such lifeless and spineless Hindus. Will Hindus take any action to change this situation? – Editor SP)

The priest of the temple closed it after performing ‘aarati’ on Thursday night after which there was no electricity in the area as the ‘fuse’ of transformer conked off. The offenders took advantage of the darkness and carried out such robbery. It is also likely that they had deliberately meddled with the fuse. The incidents of theft had increased in the temples of ‘Koyalanchal’ area about two years back. The police had arrested many thieves in that connection and security measures were taken for guarding the temples. Even then, the robbers had tried to steal idols of goddesses from ‘Lilouri’ temple; but they had succeeded in taking the idols only a short distance from the temple. (Useless measures undertaken by the police ! Had such incidents occurred in case of followers of other religions, would the police undertake such useless measures? – Editor SP)

A new idol has been ordered from Jaipur to replace this idol. Shankaracharya Nishchalananda Saraswati of Puri will be attending the ceremony of installation of the new idol.
