Spontaneous response to social media propagation by HJS and Sanatan Sanstha (Dec 16)

Report on ‘prasar’ activities through social websites during Dec 2016

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha are trying to create awareness amongst Hindus through effective use of social websites and applications like ‘WhatsApp’, ‘Facebook’, ‘Twitter’ etc towards imparting ‘Dharmashikshan’ to Hindus; giving them factual position of various attacks taking place against them and for prevention of denigration of Deities etc

1. Propagation through ‘WhatsApp’

482 devout Hindus are regularly doing ‘prasar’ through the medium of ‘WhatsApp’. Videos on ‘Dharma shastra’, news about attacks on Hindus; science behind various religious and national festivals are regularly sent through this application. Presently, through a group formed on ‘WhatsApp’ under ‘Jago Hindu’, information on ‘Dharmahsikshan’ and attacks is reaching 2,95,000 devout Hindus every day and there is good response from people. In last month, daily reach has increased by 36,000.

2. ‘Prasar’ through ‘Facebook’

290 devout Hindus have been doing ‘prasar’ through the medium of ‘Facebook’ on regular basis. The no. of likes of ‘Facebook’ pages of HJS (in various districts) has increased by 33,000 in last month and reach has become 12,73,000. In case of Sanatan Sanstha’s ‘Facebook’ page, no of likes has increased by 804 in last month and has now reached 20,130. The matter has reached 8 lakh people through HJS ‘Facebook’ pages and to 80,000 people, through Sanatan Sanstha’s ‘Facebook’ page. In last 2 months, two more pages have been started by HJS at district-levels and presently, 37 district-level ‘Facebook’ pages are actively disseminating information to 2,02,796 Hindus. There was increase of 40,796 in last month.

‘Sanatan Panchang’ is the new ‘Facebook’ page introduced in this month with the purpose of disseminating information on ‘Dharmashikshan’ to every house.

3. Prasar through ‘Twitter’

394 devout Hindus are using ‘Twitter’ presently for ‘prasar’ activities and they have reached 4, 30, 711 people with various subjects. Through the official ‘Twitter’ account of HJS (@hindujagrutiorg), 8,76,800 people received information in this month. In last month itself, there was increase of 2, 95,000. There is increase in number of followers by 733. Sanatan Sanstha’s official ‘Twitter’ account (@SanatanSanstha) has reached 2,60,000 people in this month which saw increase of 1,52,000 in last one month and increase of 315 in number of followers.

4. Spontaneous response by devout Hindus from all over India to the ‘trends’ about injustice done to pro-Hindu organizations and their members

A. On 3.12.2016, HJS spread a word about Hindu ‘Dharmajagruti Sabha’ proposed to be held at Solapur, with ‘Tweets’ on the subject ‘#ChaloSolapur’. 36, 21, 365 people got associated with the same.

B. On the occasion of ‘Datta Jayanti’ on 12.12.2016, to disseminate information about science of Datta Jayanti, there were ‘tweets’ on the subject ‘#DattaJayanti’ in which many pro-Hindu organizations participated and the subject reached around 58, 00, 000 people.

C. Demonstrations were staged at many places in India under the aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’ to create awareness towards increasing oppression of Hindus in Bangla Desh and to oppose display of boards at railway stations glorifying Mughal Emperor Akbar  who had inordinately oppressed Hindus. ‘Tweets’ were posted on ‘#HinduAndolan’ and the matter reached 23, 55, 682 people.

D. For creating awareness towards malpractices taking place on the occasion of 31st December and to stop blind imitation of western culture, pro-Hindu organizations posted ‘tweets’ on the subject ‘@SayNoTo31Dec’ and the issue reached 6,84,323 people.
