Rashtriya Hindu Andolan staged demonstrations at Valpoi (Goa)

Preserve ‘Hatkatro Khambh’ at Old Goa; Utilize temple funds for religious activities, not social work : Demands by Hindus

Valpoi : All Hindu organisations under the banner of the Rashtriya Hindu Andolan staged demonstrations at Valpoi market to demand preservation of the ‘Hatkatro Khambh’ at Old Goa and utilization of temple funds for religious activities and not social work. The ‘Hatkatro Khambh’ is the only existing evidence of the atrocities inflicted on the Goans by the Portuguese through Inquisition. Also demands were made   not to give shelter in Bharat to rohingya Muslims displaced from Mynmar, to cancel the order allowing Government servants to offer prayer during office hours, to cancel the additional tax on the vehicles proceeding to Shabarimala  pilgrimage and to find solutions to stop the denigration of the national flag on the Republic Day.

The demonstrations commenced after blowing the conch shell. Mr. Satyavijay Naik introduced the topic of the movement on behalf of Rashtriya Hindu Andolan. Thereafter devout Hindu speakers addressed the gathering. There was a unanimous demand to revoke the decision of the Telangana Government to incorporate children of rohingya Muslims illegally staying in Telangana, into the main stream and give them regular education. If these children are admitted in a school then they will be true inhabitant citizens of Bharat & also their parents. In fact a terrorist organization of rohingya Muslims is being established in Mynmar and if this organisation keeps harmonious relation with terrorists in Kashmir so also with those in Telangana and start terrorism in Bharat, then who will be responsible for that ? Therefore rohingya Muslims should be expelled from the country.

Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat has declared to give some break for offering prayers to all Government servants of any religion during the working hours. Offering prayers is absolutely personal and to give a break for such personal matter is totally unjust. Also nobody has asked for such a break and yet why all this stunt ? On one hand Bharat is said to be secular and on the other hand the Government of Uttarakhand is giving such a break based on religious practice, and wasting their working time, thereby causing loss to the nation.

Since national pride is almost forgotten by the society, national flags made of plastic and paper which are taken with pride on the morning of the Republic day, are seen lying in gutters or roads in the afternoon in torn condition. This causes a great dishonor to the flag and to stop this denigration of the flag, the sale of plastic flags on the republic day should be stopped by the Goa Government. In the end Shri. Govind Chodankar placed the resolution before the gathering. Demonstration was compeered by Shri. Rahul Vaze.
