Shiroda (Dist. Sindhudurga) : 4000 devout Hindus attend Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha

Shiroda (Dist. Sindhudurg, Maharashtra): Natives of Shiroda had once created history by undertaking “Salt ‘Satyagrah (non-violent agitation)’” to fight the British Rule.  Similarly, they resolved to fight, in lawful manner, the Government, unrighteous and fanatics who are trying to destroy this country, Deities and Dharma. An oath was taken to the above effect by more than 4000 devout Hindus attending the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha.

The ‘Sabha’ was organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on ‘Ashcharya Kreeda’ Grounds. The ‘sabha’ began with lighting of lamp by Professor Rajendra Thakur, a devout Hindu followed with recitation of ‘Veda-mantras’ by Purohit Mr. Purushottam Joshi and his group. Mr. Manoj Khadye of HJS, Mr. Mahesh Mulik of Dharmashakti Sena and Mrs. Shubha Sawant of ‘Ranaragini’ shared the dais. Prof. Thakur was felicitated by Mr. Pramod Naik from Shiroda. Mr. Surjit Mathur, a representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ was also felicitated on the occasion. A review of HJS activities was presented by Mr. Govind Chodankar of HJS.
