Sangli : HJS urges police with demand to prevent malpractices in Navratri

Sangli : Public Navratrotsav were initiated for preserving Bharatiya culture, as also for awakening about social obligations, Nation and Dharma, but presently many improper activities such as playing Garba on the tunes of cine-songs, drinking liquor, dancing in obscene postures, forceful collection of money, wasteful expenditure on decoration, gambling in Pandal etc. have spoiled its sanctity. In order to stop such improper activities during Public Navratrotsav, a Memorandum on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has been submitted to Shrikant Pingle, Police Inspector (Home) in the Office Police Superintendent, specially the Police Administration should take lead in such matter. Members of the Samiti along with other citizens were present during submission.
