Let us prevent malpractices in celebration of Navratri festival and preserve the sanctity of this festival ! – Prof. Vitthal Jadhav

Shirval : Festivals were celebrated collectively since ancient times for preservation of culture, develop unity amongst people and undertaking spiritual practice; but presently, collective celebration of festivals has taken perverted form. There are many wrong practices followed while celebrating festivals such as dancing to the tunes of film songs making indecent body movements; consumption of liquor, immoral acts, forcibly collecting donations; waste of money in decorations, gambling in pandals etc. which is resulting in eliminating sacredness of the festival. Such malpractices should be stopped and festivals should be celebrated in religious manner and with full of devotion; only then will the sacredness of the festival will be maintained, stated Prof. Vitthal Jadhav during a program held on 1st October at ‘Mandaimata Navaratrotsav Mandal’ in Mandai Colony. Shri. Somnath Raut, Sou. Chhaya Pawar and 35 devout Hindus attended the program.
