Issue of taking action against Shri. Rahul Kolhapure out of spite

Satara – Shri. Rahul Kolhapure, a reporter of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ had gone for immersion of idol but he was bullied and taken into custody without any reason. It is not good and should not have happened. Departmental inquiry will be conducted into Dy. Police Inspector (PI) Chandrakant Bendre, was the promise given by Superintendent of Police (SP) Sandip Patil to a delegation of ‘Hindutvavadis’ who had gone to meet him on 13th September in connection with submission of a representation, demanding appropriate legal action against Dy PI Bendre for taking action against Shri. Rahul Kolhapure out of spite; when SP Patil gave the above promise.

Shri. Hemant Sonawane of HJS, Shri. Jitendra Wadekar, city-Minister of VHP, Shri. Umesh Gandhi, a member of ‘Hindu Mahasabha’s executive committee, former municipal councilor, Sou. Leela Nimbalkar, Sou. Vasudha More and ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’s Shri. Rahul Kolhapure were present on the occasion. The same representation has also been submitted to District Collector’s office and sent to CM and Home Minister Devendra Fadanvis, Home (State) Minister Deepak Kesarkar and guardian Minister, Vijay Shivatare.

Demands made in the representation…

1. Shri. Rahul Kolhapure was taken into custody only out of spite because he is a reporter of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ by Dy PI Bendre; therefore, stringent action should be taken against Dy. PI Bendre.

2. Ganesh-devotees should be allowed to immerse idols as per religious traditions, without bullying by police and without creating any obstacles.

3. All obstacles in immersion of Shri Ganesh idols in natural water resources should be removed.
