Representation submitted to Tehsildar by ‘Tulja Bhavani Devasthan Sanrakshak Kruti Samiti’

  • There should be no interference in religious traditions followed while celebrating Navaratri festival
  • Conduct inquiry into Devasthan’s President through CID

Tuljapur : Shri Tulja Bhavani Devasthan should make necessary arrangements during ‘Sharadiya’ Navaratri festival without interfering in religious rituals and traditions followed by people and Devasthan’s President should not be spared from CID inquiry were the demands made through a representation submitted by activists of ‘Shri Tulja Bhavani Devasthan Sanrakshak Kruti Samiti (Action Committee)’ to Shri. C. S. Suravase in the absence of Tehsildar. The activists of ‘Action Committee’ garlanded chair of Tehsildar since he was absent before submitting the representation.

Religious traditions followed for thousands of years are discarded in the name of security during ‘Sharadiya’ Navaratri festival and devi-devotees coming from all over Hindustan are deprived of observing their family customs and traditions.

The president appointed for management of Devasthan is a Government’s posted District Collector and he has been doing whatever he wants by paying total disregard to religious customs and traditions; besides, he has misappropriated money received by the Devsthan through donations, gold, ornaments, diamonds etc. and inquiry is going on through CID. The President has, however been spared from the inquiry. In fact, President is the main responsible person; therefore, it is necessary to conduct inquiry into him. The above demand has been made in the representation. ‘Pujya’ Mahant Mavajinath Maharaj, Shri. Arjun Salunke, Shri. Sanjay Sonawane, Shri. Suhas Salunke, Shri. Kishore Gangane, Shri. Amit Kadam along with 20 devout Hindus were present on the occasion.
