‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’ held at Rakaskop (Dist. Belgaum) on the day of ‘Mahashivaratri’

Belgaum (Karnataka): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) holds ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes at Rakaskop which is 20 kms. from Belgaum. The devout Hindus attending these classes had organized ‘Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha’ on the occasion of ‘Mahashivaratri’ opposite Shiva Temple. Mr. Sadashiv Dhond of ‘Dharmashakti Sena’, Mr. Yashawant Rane of HJS and Mrs. Yashaswi Rane of ‘Ranaragini’ addressed the ‘Sabha’.

The ‘Sabha’ began with lighting of lamp by Mr. Sadashiv Dhond and breaking of ‘Sreephal (coconut)’ by Mr. Sreenivasan. The other dignitaries who shared the dais were Mr. Ningappa More, Rukmanna More, Durgappa Kesarkar (Yalebail), Mr. Sanjay More, Chandrakant Kadam, Anand Bachikar (Kavalewadi), Jyotiba More (Bijgarni), Balaram Patil, Narayan Patil (Saroli) etc. The ‘sabha’ was attended by more than 600 devout Hindus.

Highlights

1. The locals tied turbans on heads of all the dignitaries sitting on the dais.
2. The members of audience did not leave their place for taking ‘Mahaprasad’ till the dignitaries left the venue.
