Vehergaon (Dist. Pune, Maharashtra): We have forgotten everything about this country ‘Hindustan’ in which we were born. Hindu Dharma is a way of conducting one’s life. Dharma is like a mother. One, who is faithful to one’s mother, is loyal to even his Dharma. The above comments were made by H. B. P. Baban Maharaj Shevkar in his address during the Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held near Bhairavnath Temple in Vehergaon situated at the base of Karla Caves. The ‘sabha’ was held on 4th February at 5.30 p.m. on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

Mr. Amol Kale of HJS, Mr. Girish Lokhande of ‘Dharmajagruti Sena’ and Miss Priyanka Lone of ‘Ranaragini’ also addressed the ‘sabha’. Mr. Ganapat Padval, the Sarpanch and his brother Mr. Kailas Padval, Mr. Sanjay Govilkar, the main priest of Sree Ekveera Devi Temple and Mr. Ramdas Padval extended cooperation in organizing the ‘sabha’. The local youth distributed the pamphlets regarding the ‘Dharmasabha’; even the auto-rickshaw drivers displayed the pamphlets on their vehicle and took part in the ‘prasar’.

Highlights

The child-seekers made an appeal to follow ‘Dharmacharan’ which received a good response from the children. Some participants, on learning the importance of applying ‘tilak’ and ‘kumkum’ on forehead, went home and came back for the ‘sabha’ after applying ‘tilak’ and ‘kumkum’.
