HJS drive for maintaining honour of national flags in Maharashtra

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), other pro-Hindu organizations and patriotic citizens are submitting representations to police and local administrations, at various places in Maharashtra State; for the demand prohibiting use of plastic national flags and to prevent trampling of national flags. A detailed report on the same is given below.

Kolhapur : Representation was submitted to Dy. District Collector Shri. Shankar Barge on 5th August for the demands that plastic national flags should not be used and national flags should not be trampled. Shri. Sambhaji Bhokare, Dy. District Collector of Shiv Sena, its Karveer Taluka-Chief Raju Yadav, Shri Shivapratishthan’s Rahul Nagtilak, Bajarang Dal’s Shri. Sudhakar Parmani; Vande Mataram Youth organization’s Avadhut Bhatye, Yuva Sena’s Bhau Chougule; ‘Hindu Ekata Andolan’s Shivajirao Sase, Ashish Lokhande, Shiv Sena’s Bhudargad Taluka-Chief Prakash Patil; ‘Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana’s President Dhanaraj Ghadage; activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha’s seekers were present for submitting the representation. 

Representation submitted to Principals of 3 schools for maintaining honour of national flags !

Kerle : On 8th August, representations were submitted to Shri. Pradip Gaikwad, the Principal of ‘Shri Hanuman High School’; Shri. Gosavi, the Principal of ‘Kumar Vidya Mandir’, and the Principal of Kala Vidya Mandir, by devout Hindus attending Dharmashikshan classes held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti; jointly with ‘Shri Chandrakant Maruti Patil dada Kala-kreeda Shaikshanik ani Sankrutik Yuva Manch’. Devout Hindus viz. Shri. Rambhau Methe, Shri. Randhir Killedar, Shri. Dipak Nalawade, Shri. Sagar Koli, Shri. Sandip Patil, Shri. Vikram Mane, Shri. Avinash Powar, Shri. Akash Bhosale, Shri. Pankaj Kalge, Shri. Vishwajit Buva, Shri. Vijay More, Shri. Rutwin Powar and Shri. Ajit Patil were present to submit the representation. Shri. Pradip Gaikwad, the Principal of ‘Hanuman High School’ said that the drive was good and such drives should be undertaken for benefit of the school. He also said that the students were already told not to use plastic flags.      

Police and local administrations promise to take action against sale and purchase of plastic national flags 

Malkapur : HJS gave representations to Tehsildar Chandrashekhar Sanap and Police Inspector, Anil Gade, for prevention of abuse of national flags. HJS submitted such representations at 14 places including local administration at Kolhapur, schools and colleges. Tehsildar Shri. Sanap and PI Gade promised to take stringent action against those who buy or sell plastic national flags. Activists of HJS and seekers of Sanatan Sanstha were present on the occasion.

Principal Shri. Ovulkar of ‘Shahuwadi High School’ showed interest in HJS conducting lecture on ‘need for Dharmashikshan for girl-students’ from that school.

Pune

Representations submitted to different administrative officers 

Pune : Pune District Collector, Pune Police Commissioner, Dy. Police Commissioner of Police Circle -3 of Pimpri- Chinchwad, Municipal Commisisoner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation have been given representation by HJ, demanding to take action as per the order issued by Mumbai High Court.

Dy. Police Commissioner Ganesh Shinde of Special Branch Pune accepted the representation on behalf of the Police Commissioner. He said that order would be surely implemented this year for maintaining honour of national flags. Necessary instructions will also be given to all police stations. HJS activists, Shri. Krushnaji Patil and Shri. Shashank Sonawane submitted the representation. Dy. District Collector Rajendra Muthe accepted the representation on behalf of Pune District Collector. Shri. Dilip Vitthal Girame, President of ‘Purandar Taluka Shetakari Sanghatana’, Shri. Sachin Jadhav of Yuva Congress Purandar Taluka, Shri. Krushnaji Patil of HJS and many patriotic citizens were present on the occasion. 

Palghar 

Patriotic citizens from Boisar submit representation to Palghar District Collector

Palghar : Shirishkumar was shot but did not allow slipping national flag from his hand during freedom fight. In independent India, however, we see plastic and paper national flags strewn all over the roads. To prevent abuse of national flags taking place in such manner, patriotic citizens made an appeal, through representation, to District Collector Abhijit Bangar on 11th August for prevention of abuse of national flags. Shri. Naikguruji and Smt. Malti Sonar were present on the occasion.

Dhule 

Representation given to District Collector; positive response by Dy. District Collector 

Representation was given to District Collector Shri. Annasaheb Misal by Shri. Vilas Rajput of ‘Swadeshi Jagaran manch’, Shri. Pratik Gite of BJP and Shri. Pankaj Bagul of HJS. Dy. District Collector Tukaram Hulwale watched the VCD prepared by HJS on the subject and appreciated its drive. He said that activists of HJS can be associated with the action committee formed in this connection. He also made arrangements for meeting of cable operators so that they too could watch this VCD.

Raigad

Panvel : Representation was submitted in 40 schools, 2 colleges and to 3 Tehsildars. Awareness about maintaining honour of national flag was created in 18 schools. ‘Rayat Shikshan Sanstha’s teachers asked HJS activists to visit the school for giving information on every drive undertaken by them whereas at school from Ulwa, HJS activists were called to explain students about moral values. Principals of 2 schools subscribed to Marathi weekly Sanatan Prabhat so that students would get information on matters related to nation and Dharma.  

Highlight : 8 persons attending Dharmashikshan class took active part in this drive.
