The ‘Sabha’ did take place at the insistence of the locals despite the opposition     

Kankon (Goa): The State Government disallowed Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) from organizing Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha at 4.30 p.m. at Sri Ranjani Paik Devasthan Hall, Bhuram, Agond, Kankon.

Although the permission was taken from the Trustees of the Temple Devasthanam, permission was denied on the ground that the hall was constructed by the Government Authority viz. the Rural Development Authority (RDA) and there could be a problem leading to law and order situation in case the ‘sabha’ was held.
