Conspiracy to destroy temples in the name of development at Vijaywada

Why Hindus’ temples are only targeted under the guise of development ? All rulers stoop whenever issue related to seats of worship of non-Hindus is involved ?

Vijaywada : Telugu Desam Party ruling Andhra Pradesh has started to demolish an ancient Vijayeshwar Swami Mandir near ‘Prakasham Bandh’ which has enraged Hindus. Many Saints and Hindu devotees took out a march to protest against the Government for its action. Earlier, it was announced that Vinayak Mandir on Central Road would be demolished. ‘Hindu Dharma Parirakshan Samiti’ and businessmen observed one day ‘bandh’ to oppose demolition of temple. There is a mention about Arjuna erecting Vijayeshwar Swami Mandir in holy books. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has taken initiative in opposing demolition of this temple. On 3rd July, 352 ‘Muthadhipati’ and ‘Peethadhish’ will take out a huge march. (Congratulations to VHP for taking initiative in protection of temple ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Presently, religious program and ‘yadnya’ is being performed at this temple.

Shri. Venkat Narayan Prasad, city-Secretary of Telugu Desam Party said on behalf of the Government that his party would not hurt Hindus’ sentiments; but few steps would have to be taken for development and ‘Krushna Pushkaram’ festival will be celebrated in few days and preparations are going on for the same.
