Goa : Hindus lawfully prevent missionaries from entering housing society

Hindus need to be united and should give fight with perseverance to foil conspiracy of conversion

Mapusa (Goa) : Residents of Deshmukh Arcade Cooperative Society at Fair, Alto, Mapusa have resolved that they would not allow ‘Believers’ to hold prayer meetings in their society. On 12th June, 3rd consecutive Sunday, Believers couldn’t go towards this society for holding prayers, owing to the stand taken by Society residents.

Deshmukh Society is a residential society; therefore, residents strongly opposed to prayer meetings held by ‘Believers’ in unauthorized manner and lodged a complaint with Dy. District Collector of Bardesh Taluka; therefore, stay order was issued by him against holding prayers; still ‘Believers’ used to conduct prayer-meetings which enraged the residents and they started keeping the society gate closed, preventing ‘Believers’ from entering society and holding prayer-meetings. In the mean time, police had filed case against residents of Deshmukh society; however, fighting with perseverance, residents could successfully stop prayers by ‘Believers’. On 12th June, Sunday, residents closed the gate of society in the morning; but nobody went there from Believers’ group.
