‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’ held at Satara

Take stringent action against distortion of India’s map and other serious mistakes made in Balbharati text books ! – Hemant Sonawane, HJS

Satara : In history book of the Maharashtra State Bureau of Textbook Production and Curriculum Research published by Balbharati, Arunachal Pradesh has been shown as a part of China, instead of part of India. In a map, Kanheri Caves at ‘Sanjay Gandhi Rashtriya Udyan’ have been shown under water and Delhi Capital of India has been shown on the wrong side of bank of River Yamuna. Such distorted maps are teaching wrong things to students and is an insult of national emblem, hurting patriotic sentiments of citizens.

It is a very serious matter; so legal action should be taken against persons such as educationists and persons sanctioning approvals etc. responsible for including distorted maps and information in text books. Also, revised text books should be distributed to students for free and expenses should be recovered from persons responsible for the mistakes. The above demand was made by Shri. Hemant Sonawane of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during demonstrations held under aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’.

hemant_sonavane320Along with the above demands, other demands made were ‘use of ‘Om’ should be made compulsory in Yoga and anti-Hindu decision of naming ‘Hari Hill’ at Jammu-Kashmir as ‘Koh-e-Maran’ should be cancelled’. The demonstrations were held at Golbaug, Rajwada, Satara by pro-Hindu and pro- Shivaji organizations, under auspices of RHA.

Sou. Rupa Mahadik of HJS demanded that action should be taken against police and the then rulers for torturing Sadhvi Pradnya Singh for 8 years. Shri. Jitendra Wadkar, city-Minister of VHP, Shri. Hanmant Kadam and Sou. Vidya Kadam of HJS also addressed the participants.

About 50 representatives of various pro-Hindu organizations like Hindu Mahasabha, Shiv Sena, Bajarang Dal, Shivapratishthan Hindustan, Vishwa Hindu Parishada and many local organizations extended support to RHA.
