New Delhi : More than 700 devotees of His Holiness Asaramji Bapu have started indefinite ‘Satyagraha’ from 12th May at Jantar Mantar, demanding release of His Holiness Asaramji Bapu and protesting against ill-treatment given to him. This ‘Satyagraha’ will go on till no concrete promise is made about H. H. Bapu’s release. Sou. Rupali Dubey of ‘Bharatiya Nari Raksha Manch’ and Shri. Vijay Sahni of ‘Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti’ are leading the demonstrations. People and organizations from 156 countries have extended support to this movement, including VHP, ‘Dharmaraksha Manch’, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha. After ‘Satyagraha’, they will start ‘Jail Bharo (Get arrested)’ agitation. Kum. Kruttika Khatri of HJS also guided the demonstrators.

Highlights : Shri. Durgesh Pandeya from H. H. Bapuji’s ashram informed that seekers of Sanatan Sanstha have said that there was no difference between their Guru and H. H. Bapu; therefore, they were present to support the movement. Participants were overwhelmed with ‘bhava’ when Shri. Pandeya was talking about Sanatan Sanstha and its extending support to H. H. Bapuji.

Demands made with the President through ‘Satyagraha’

1. Case filed against H. H. Asaramji Bapu should be withdrawn and he should be released at the earliest.

2.Inquiry should be conducted through National Investigation Agency into those hatching conspiracy against H. H. Bapu and stringent action be taken against them.

3. Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) should be examined and made impartial. As per Government statistics, 46000 cases have been filed under this Act from August 2012 to April 2015 and 70% of them were false. Such false case has defamed H. H. Bapuji; so the Government should see to it that H. H. Bapu gets back his honour.
