Wakodi (Nagar): Hindus are being attacked from all sides in the form of ‘jihadi’ terrorism, conversions, denigration of their deities, blind imitation of western culture, attacks on temples, killings of Hindu leaders, threats to Dharmagurus etc. The root cause of all problems is lack of unity among Hindus. Hindu unity is, therefore, the only remedy to fight all the above problems.  Hindu Dharma-jagruti Sabha was held on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on 21st November in Ambika Chowk to impress the above point upon Hindus. More than 300 devout Hindus attended the public meeting and performed their duty towards Dharma.

In the beginning of the ‘sabha’, Mr. Purohit and Mr. Bhale from Bhingar recited ‘Veda-mantras’ followed with lighting of lamp by HBP. Pandharinath Maharaj Devkar, a senior guide of Nagar District Warakari Mahasangh. Mr. Sanjay Dhanave, the convenor of the meeting took a review of the activities of HJS.

In his guidance HBP. Pandharinath Maharaj Devkar said, “Bheeshma had to watch the ‘Vastraharan (disrobing)’ of Draupadi. He did not oppose and it was a sin. We Hindus, are committing the same mistake today. How can we tolerate denigration of our deities, saints and Dharma? Atheists have no right to say anything about Dharma. The editor of a pro-Hindu periodical like ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ is subjected to ‘Narco’ test; but the Government is indifferent towards the killings of thousands of Hindus by ‘jihadi’ terrorists since the year 1993.”

Mrs. Vandana Karache of ‘Ranaragini’ said that Hindu unity was necessary to curb happenings like ‘love jihad’. Mr. Anil Karande, the Sarpanch of Darewadi said that all Hindus must act as per the advice given in the meeting by various dignitaries and demanded to hold ‘Hindu Dharma-jagruti Sabha’ in his village.

Mr. Sunil Ghanavat, the coordinator of HJS for Pune and Nagar districts said, “Attempts are made to keep away the true historical facts from the people. The day on which it was decided to accept ‘anti-baptisma’ process by the courts of other countries, many Christians showed their willingness to adopt the process. Why should then Hindus adopt such religion which was rejected by even western community? All of us should study matters related to Dharma and come together.”

The meeting was also attended by HBP. Ambadas Maharaj Shinde (Karjatkar).

Highlights:

  1. HBP. Pandharinath Maharaj Devkar addressed the meeting by standing before the audience despite his age.
  2. The local youth were propagating about the ‘sabha’ raising slogans of ‘Har Har Mahadev’
  3. The local eminent personalities extended valuable support for the ‘sabha’.
  4. *Wakodi Grampanchayat made arrangements for drinking water by providing a tanker.
  5. Youth sitting on two-wheelers stood up in reverence when ‘Vande Mataram’ was sung.
