Goa : Anti-social elements damage murti of Shri Brahmadev along with part of dome

Congress MPs raise voice against attack on a church at Chhattisgarh; but hundreds of incidents have occurred in Goa involving damaging murti and theft in temples; but none of the elected representatives has said anything about the same. Hindus need to be prepared for protection of their seats of worship !

Kepe (Goa) : In the night of 17th March, head and hand of murti of Shri Brahmadev were damaged at Gudhi (Paroda). It was noticed on 18th March in the morning. Shri. Anand Gaokar, a local resident from Gudhi lodged a complaint with police station. Police went to the place of incident with dog-squad for investigating. Later, a complaint was registered of murti-damaging against unknown miscreants under clauses 295 and 427 for hurting religious sentiments of people. Earlier, there were thefts in this temple when the robbers had stolen money from donation box; but nobody lodged complaint at that time; therefore, the matter was not known to people. Natives of Gudhi have demanded immediate arrest of social miscreant responsible for such offence and stringent action against the guilty.

Incidents of breaking glass of a small chapel and damaging of murti at Paroda

An incident of breaking of glass of a small chapel in Paroda was brought to light besides damaging murti of Goddess Velankini which is about 2 kms from Gudhe where damage was caused to the murti of Brahmadev and temple.

Damaging murtis is a ploy of Believers ! – ‘Panch’ Dilip Gaokar

It is a ploy of Believers was the response of local ‘Panch’ Dilip Gaokar and other devout Hindus.
