Nashik : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and its ‘Ranaragini’ division submitted a representation to District Collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) demanding ban on Trupti Desai and her ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ from entering Nashik District because she has threatened to enter sanctum sanctorum of Shri Trimbakeshwar Temple on the day of Mahashivaratri and break age-old tradition of prohibiting women from entering sanctum sanctorum of this ‘Jyotirlinga’. It is also demanded that the likely monetary loss owing to staging of their agitation, should be recovered from them. Pro-Hindu Advocate Sou. Nilima Sakharikar and Adv. Shri. Pundalik Geete were present on the occasion. Out of her hunger for publicity, Trupti Desai has threatened to enter sanctum sanctorum of Trimbakeshwar Temple which is one of the 12 ‘Jyotirlingas’, along with her women-activists on 7th March, the day of ‘Mahashivaratri’; although there is ban on women for entering the sanctum. In this background, the representation was submitted by HJS.

1. Trupti Desai and her ‘Bhoomata Ranaragini Brigade’ has been troubling all people of Maharashtra only due to her longing for publicity. Even the women -office bearers of her organization have declared that it was just a publicity stunt. It shows that Desai is more concerned about her publicity than rights of women. There are so many serious problems faced in this State and incidents of oppression of women in different manner but without saying even a word on such oppression, Desai is only working for breaking various traditions followed under Hindu Dharma. Police and local adminitstraion had to deploy huge staff for maintaining law and order at Shani Shingnapur when she announced to go there for breaking tradition. She is creating tension in such areas.

2. More than 1200 local women submitted a representation to the local administration at Trimbakeshwar to oppose the anti-Dharma agitation proposed to be staged by ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ and to continue the ancient traditions. Other local organizations, festival committees, ‘Purohits’ organization and all local residents are also against breaking of old traditions. Many pro-Hindu organizations, along with HJS, have taken a stand that the age-old traditions followed at Trimbakeshwar Temple should be observed.

3. Millions of devotees visit Trimbakeshwar on the day of Mahashivaratri for ‘darshan’ of the Deity. Police have huge responsibility of guarding the pilgrimage places of Hindus as they are under threat of terrorist attack. The possibility of ‘Bhoomata Brigade’s agitation worsening the situation cannot be ruled out and it could lead to major law and order problem. In that case, police and administration will only be responsible for mishap, if any; therefore, as a precautionary measure, Trupti Desai and all activists of her organization should be banned from entering Nashik district.

4. This Brigade has been constantly staging agitations which create inconvenience to ordinary citizens. Owing to her proposed agitation at Shani Shingnapur, all local citizens had to shut their shops, offices and stop routine activities. Besides, there was strict police vigil that created obstacles for devotees in reaching the temple and all this causing loss of crores of rupees for Shani Shingnapur. It is necessary to find out the hidden force behind such agitations. The State Administration recovers money from political parties for the losses incurred due to ‘Bandh’ called by them; similarly, all likely losses due to agitations staged by ‘Bhoomata Brigade’ should be strictly recovered from that organization.

5. Local administrations and police need to take proper precaution, by taking local residents and organizations into confidence so that atmosphere in Nashik district would not be adversely affected. The Government should take decision for protection of ancient religious rituals, customs and traditions observed at Trimbakeshwar Temple and preserve religious sentiments and faith of billions of Hindus from all over this country.

Anti-nationals and so-called intellectuals ignorant towards its importance

This country has been facing lot of grave problems like love jihad, security of women, cow-slaughter, suicides by farmers, corruption, un-employment, crimes, attacks by jihadis, infiltration by 5 crores Bangla Deshi citizens, pollution of River Ganga etc. but anti-nationals and anti-Hindu intellectuals are giving all the importance to issues like women climbing temple-pedestal at Shani Shingnapur or entering Trimbakeshwar temple’s sanctum sanctorum !

(Many soldiers are sacrificing their life at the border of this country, under terrorists’ attacks; but the secular and pro(re)gressive politicians lacking sensitivity and seriousness towards the present condition of this country are staging agitations against action taken on anti-national students at JNU or in favour of women activists trying to climb temple-pedestal of Shani Shingnapur etc. that has no connection with national interests. Indian reporters, supposed to be descendants Lokmanya Tilak’s journalism, who was vigilant towards interest of this country, have been encouraging and giving importance to such people. It is failure of Indian democracy ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
