Mangalore (Karnataka): A head of a slaughtered cow was found in front of the gate of Mahaganapati Temple on 15th August in the afternoon. (Although there is a ban on cow slaughter in the State of Karnataka, such incident indicates an absolute failure of the BJP Government. Owing to the lethargy of the State Government and indifference of Hindus, the insolence of anti-Hindus is growing day by day. When it came to the notice of the local Hindus, they gathered near the temple. (Had such an incident happened with Muslims, they would have made the life of the offenders very difficult. Hindus must realize that only protesting against such incidents is not protection of Dharma; they should do something that truly shakes up the minds of anti-Hindus! – Editor SP)

Mr. Prasad Attawar, a leader of Sri Ram Sena visited the place where this happened along with fellow-workers as he learnt about the incident and they have made a demand with the police to arrest the offenders at the earliest. At that time, a former MLA of the BJP, Mr. Nagraj Shetty also reached the place of the event. He was ‘gheraoed’ by the workers of Sri Ram Sena. Mr. Yogesh Bhat, another MLA who also visited the place was taken to task by the Hindus present there. He expressed his view that somebody has done such a despicable thing since the festival of Ganesha Chaturthi was approaching. (One feels from the statement of the BJP MLA as if anti-Hindus have been given a free license to hurt religious sentiments of Hindus especially during their festivals. Such BJP MLAs make it imperative for Hindus to bring a drastic change in their thinking process! – Editor SP)

He said further, “I am with you. Nobody should take the law in his hands. If the police fail to nab the culprit within two days, we will consult the chief of Hindus for the further course of action.” (Hindus must note that every time, all they get are false promises from the MLAs and the Government! – Editor SP)

Police Superintendent Subrahmanyeshwar Rao inspected the place where the incident was staged. A shopkeeper outside the temple saw the slaughtered head of the cow and informed the priest of the temple. Later, it was shifted from there under the instructions of the priest.
